Frank Kaminsky and Jahlil Okafor are two of the best players in the country, and they are facing off in the national championship game. This could be a matchup for the ages.
Kaminsky has been the go-to guy for the Wisconsin Badgers during the past two seasons, and he has been playing like the best player in the country since conference play started. Okafor has been by far the best freshmen in the country all season for the Duke Blue Devils, and has looked absolutely unstoppable at times.
Kaminsky and Okafor will more than likely be matched up with each other at the center position. Although Okafor is clearly a more powerful force then Kaminsky, Okafor might struggle to score because of Kaminsky’s terrific footwork. On both ends of the floor, Kaminsky knows how to use to his feet to be in a great position to rebound, defend or score. Okafor also tends to foul a lot, and Kaminsky definitely knows how to draw contact and force fouls.
This will both be Kaminsky and Okafor’s last collegiate game because Okafor will declare for the NBA draft and Kaminsky is a senior. This is why they will both go all-out for the national championship. It might come down to who wants it more, and Kaminsky’s experience in two straight Final Four appearances may help his team prevail over Duke.
Fans might not get a better college basketball matchup than Kaminsky and Okafor, so get your popcorn ready and enjoy the show.
