The California Golden Bears have a very talented roster heading into next season, mixed with experience and youth, which makes them a contender in the Pac-12 for next season.

The Golden Bears will be returning their three best players from last season in Tyrone Wallace, Jabari Bird and Jordan Matthews. The team will also add five-star recruit Ivan Rabb, along with Davon Dillard and Tyson Jolly. Every player is going to contribute in a big way for the Golden Bears next season, especially Wallace and Rabb. Wallace decided that he wanted to come back to college even though he was a potential NBA draft pick, which is great news for coach Cuonzo Martin and co.

Rabb is also going to be huge for the Golden Bears next year because of his strong interior presence. He is extremely athletic, and he can get it done on both ends of the floor. Rabb can attack the rim at will, and he is a terrific defender. Rabb will need to develop more of a mid-range game and put on some size while at college, but he is still an elite talent that will help California immediately.

The team is also still in the running for another elite recruit in five-star Jaylen Brown, who has not made his decision on where he wants to go to college. If the Golden Bears can land Brown, there is no doubt that this team could make some serious noise during the NCAA tournament.

The Golden Bears will compete with the Arizona Wildcats for the Pac-12 championship, but the Wildcats will not be as dominant as they were in prior seasons. Next season is truly a great opportunity for the Golden Bears to win the Pac-12.
