The Syracuse Orange and Texas A&M Aggies will battle it out in the Battle 4 Atlantis championship game. How many people predicted that one?

The Orange knocked off the Connecticut Huskies to clinch a spot in the title game while the Aggies knocked off the Gonzaga Bulldogs. Two things to keep in mind about that: (1) Both the Huskies and Bulldogs were ranked in the top 25. (2) Gonzaga is talented enough to make the Final Four.

Michael Gbinije is putting up big numbers in the scoring department so far, and Trevor Cooney will make opposing teams pay when left open.

Texas A&M is stacked. That word might not even do this team justice. The Aggies entered 2015-16 with some hype thanks to key seniors returning and a great recruiting class, and it might have the goods to win an SEC title. That is saying something considering the one-and-done Kentucky Wildcats are once again a top team in this sport.

While Syracuse has been impressive so far, it is hard to go against a team that just got done knocking off Gonzaga, which is a team that was ranked in the top 10 and could have the best player in college basketball in Kyle Wiltjer. Texas A&M is that good and we should be hearing about the Aggies all season long.

Nonetheless, the winner of this one will have some pretty solid bragging rights, and that NCAA tournament resume will already look very impressive.

PREDICTION: Orange 67, Aggies 73
