Stadium: Allen Fieldhouse

The Oklahoma Sooners might be undefeated and are also coming off a major win against the Iowa State Cyclones, but they will take on the Kansas Jayhawks next … on the road.

On top of the signature win against the Cyclones, Oklahoma also has a solid W against the Villanova Wildcats.

Kansas, as usual, entered the season with high expectations, and the expectation train is still going strong. The Jayhawks did drop a game against the Michigan State Spartans, but Michigan State has been lethal in 2015-16. Kansas has a few solid victories against opponents like Vanderbilt, UCLA and Baylor.

Giving the ball back to the Sooners, Buddy Hield is a machine. He is averaging 24.7 points per game and is also shooting 49.4 percent from behind the arc. Although Hield is not alone, this team will likely go as far as he takes them. If he continues to lead Oklahoma to victory — and to a Big 12 title — he could end up being the Player of the Year at the end.

With Kansas, you have a team that is filled with talent and experience. Leading that charge is Wayne Selden Jr. and Perry Ellis — and they are surely not alone.

It’s hard to not give the edge to Kansas since it will be playing at home, and since it has dominated this conference for a very long time, but Oklahoma has the goods to take the Big 12 title and the NCAA tournament after that.

PREDICTION: Sooners 79, Jayhawks 74
