Stadium: Mackey Arena

After surprising a ton of people during their non-conference slate, and storming up the top 25 rankings in the process, the Purdue Boilermakers have found life in the Big Ten to be a bit tough. Entering this Big Ten clash with the Michigan Wolverines, Purdue finds itself with a 1-1 record in conference play, and it is also coming off of a loss.

Michigan is 2-0 in conference play, but the competition is about to pick up quite a bit. The Wolverines are about to do battle with the Boilermakers, after all.

The record game: Michigan stands at an impressive 12-3 entering this battle, and Purdue isn’t too shabby itself, as it holds a 13-2 record.

The Wolverines’ losses have come against Xavier, Connecticut and SMU, but they do have victories over squads like Texas and NC State … for all it’s worth.

Purdue has dropped games against Butler and Iowa, and its best wins have come against Florida, Pittsburgh, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin.

Two players fans need to keep an eye on all season long: Caris LeVert for Michigan and A.J. Hammons for Purdue. Of course, there is plenty of talent on both teams outside of those studs.

The Big Ten, as usual, is going to be brutal in 2015-16. Therefore, capturing a win in a game such as this one is rather huge, especially for Purdue (you know, since it is playing at home).

In prediction fashion, look for the Boilermakers to rebound from their loss to Iowa by handling Michigan with relative ease.

PREDICTION: Wolverines 63, Boilermakers 74
