By Taylor Sturm

TV Schedule: Tuesday, Jan. 19, 7:00 p.m. ET, ESPN2

Arena: Gallagher-Iba Arena, Stillwater, OK

Line: Kansas (-9.5)

The Kansas Jayhawks bounced back nicely from their disappointing loss to the West Virginia Mountaineers with a win over the TCU Horned Frogs on Saturday afternoon. Despite only beating one of the bottom teams in the Big 12 by seven, it was the way that the Jayhawks won that was impressive.

The usual starters shot horribly from the field with only Devonte’ Graham shooting over 45 percent, but five-star freshmen Carlton Bragg Jr. and Cheick Diallo had their best game of the season, combining for 19 points and 13 rebounds while going 8-13. The Jayhawks, who are already arguably the best team in college basketball, may have become even more dangerous with proof that their five-star athletes can come through in crunch time.

Next up for Kansas is a road matchup with the Oklahoma State Cowboys, who have lost four straight games in conference play.

The Cowboys looked better than everyone expected to start the season, but have come back down to Earth as of late. Sure, Oklahoma State might be a potential NIT team in a weaker conference, but the overall strength of the Big 12 has been too much for the Cowboys to handle. Oklahoma State’s strong defense continues to be outdone by their dreadful offense and that will continue on Tuesday night.

The line for this game is just at -9.5 because it’s on the road, but Kansas is going to win by a much bigger margin.

Prediction: Kansas 82, Oklahoma State 66
