Ladies and gentlemen, the Pac-12 title race appears to be wide open.

In the spirit of said Pac-12 title race being anyone’s game, the UCLA Bruins and USC Trojans will take the court next.

UCLA enters with an overall record of 13-9 and Pac-12 record of 4-5, while USC will do battle with a 17-5 record and 6-3 conference record.

In the last meeting between these two squads, which came on Jan. 13, the Trojans were victorious … and that clash was played at home for the Bruins. That said, UCLA has been a wonderful mess in 2015-16.

Here’s the Bruins’ story: UCLA, as stated above, has nine losses. However, it does have victories against the Kentucky Wildcats, Gonzaga Bulldogs and Arizona Wildcats — because college basketball … literally. As a result, this team is on the bubble — and we never know what to expect out of it.

Nonetheless, the Trojans are riding a two-game winning streak and the Bruins are on their own one-game winning streak.

UCLA has five players who are averaging double figures in the scoring department. Two of those players are averaging 16+ points per game. One of those players is Bryce Alford, a player who can make teams pay when left open (just look back to last year’s NCAA tournament to figure that one out).

One might say USC has a well-balanced attack. The proof is in the numbers: Six players are averaging 10 or more points per game on this squad, and five of those players are averaging right around 12 PPG.

This might not be two top 10 teams battling it out, but it is two teams that could have a real say in the Pac-12 title race, and two teams that could end up dancing.

PREDICTION: Bruins 83, Trojans 77
