Florida State vs. Duke College Basketball Preview, TV Schedule, Prediction

By Trevor Lowry

TV Schedule: Thursday, Feb. 25, 7:00 p.m. ET, ESPN

Stadium: Cameron Indoor Stadium

Time is running out for the Florida State Seminoles. You know, if they plan on being part of the 2016 NCAA tournament field. However, Florida State can try to get back on the right side of the bubble by knocking off its next opponent, which is the Duke Blue Devils.

Duke, of course, is safe. It could probably lose the rest of its games and still go dancing (it might not want to go with that option, though).

The Seminoles might have two talented freshmen on their team who can score at a high rate, but they have still managed to lose four games in a row, and that is exactly how a team ends up on the wrong side of the bubble.

The Blue Devils, on the other hand, were riding quite the momentum train until they went down to the Louisville Cardinals on the road in their last contest. Said momentum train consisted of wins over the Virginia Cavaliers and North Carolina Tar Heels … in back-to-back contests.

Florida State can make some serious noise by knocking off Duke, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Syracuse Orange in its last three games, but that still might not be enough to get into the Big Dance. Translation: A run in the ACC tourney is a must.

In terms of this clash, Duke is not losing at Cameron Indoor Stadium, especially with the way it has emerged as of late.

PREDICTION: Blue Devils 80, Seminoles 76
