By Trevor Lowry

TV Schedule: Thursday, March 3, 9:00 p.m. ET, ESPN

Stadium: McKale Center

The California Golden Bears and Arizona Wildcats have NCAA tournament written all over them. Before said tourney can get underway, the schedule makers have provided us with yet another great Pac-12 regular season matchup. In said Pac-12 regular season matchup, California and Arizona both find themselves ranked in the top 25.

For all it’s worth, Cal is just 1.5 games back in the Pac-12 standings, and Arizona finds itself 2.5 games back.

The Golden Bears are also riding a massive amount of momentum into this game, as they have won seven games in a row. If they can keep this momentum train going, they very well could be one of the more dangerous teams in the Big Dance.

Meanwhile, the Wildcats are taking a different path into the Pac-12 tourney, as they have now lost two games in a row.

As of right now, Joe Lunardi sees Arizona as a No. 6 seed and Cal as a No. 5 seed.

Here are two things the Golden Bears have going for them entering this showdown: (1) They have already beaten the Wildcats once on the year. (2) As mentioned earlier, California is red-hot. Here’s one major thing Cal has going against it: Arizona gets this clash at home, a place where it holds a 15-1 record.

This might not be the most dangerous Wildcats team in the history of Wildcats teams, but it is still a very talented one. Translation: Don’t be surprised when Arizona goes on yet another run once the dance rears its beautiful head.

PREDICTION: Golden Bears 74, Wildcats 79
