In order to have the perfect haircut, you have to be willing to take chances. Pretty much everything has been done once before so trying something unique is the only way to stand out. These five players from the 2016 NCAA tournament definitely went unique, but it just didn’t turn out well for them.

Thomas Walkup, Stephen F. Austin — Walkup led the Lumberjacks to a first-round upset of No. 3-seeded West Virginia, and he did it all while trying to look like a Lumberjack. He admitted as much in a postgame interview. Nice try, but it's not working for you, bro.

Lis Shoshi, Arkansas-Little Rock — Shoshi had a solid tournament for Little Rock, but it makes you wonder if he could see what he was doing with that mop on his head. He needs to trim it up.

Kevin Stallings, Vanderbilt — Vanderbilt fans should be happy that Stallings left to take the Pittsburgh job, because now they won't have to look at that brutal bald spot. I know he can't help losing his hair, but he looks like a 90-year-old grandpa.

Anthony Gill, Virginia — I'm not sure exactly what's going on atop Anthony Gill's head. It's a cross between dreads and a perm and it just doesn't look right.

Grayson Allen, Duke — Allen is a great player, who likes to play defense by tripping people, but the Ted Cruz haircut has to go. He legit looks like a younger version of the Republican candidate.
