The Final Four tips of on Saturday night, meaning college basketball is less than a week away from the end of the season. We thought it might be fun to speculate which Final Four players would make the best starting five. To be honest, a team with Brice Johnson, Buddy Hield and a couple of guys from the stands might make it to the Sweet 16.

Here is our take on the best starting five from the Final Four.

Buddy Hield – Oklahoma

An obvious choice for this team, Hield is an explosive scorer who would start on every team in college basketball.

Brice Johnson – North Carolina

Johnson is a double-double machine and one of the best players in college basketball, but, more importantly, has shown the willingness to play with his team -- something that is always difficult for top players.

Daniel Ochefu – Villanova

Buddy Hield and Brice Johnson are going to take a lot of shots. Ochefu has the size and strength to clean up after them on the glass. He’s a pretty great defender, too.

Michael Gbinije – Syracuse

Gbinije might be the most underrated player in the Final Four. If he took more shots, he would be right up there with Hield and Denzel Valentine as the best player in the country. His playmaking ability and knowledge of the game would be an invaluable asset to this team. Oh, and he also averages 2.8 threes per game.

Ryan Spangler – Oklahoma

He’s definitely not one of the five best players in the Final Four, but he fits in perfectly with this shoot-happy team. He’s unselfish, has not fouled out all season long and is one of the most consistent players in college basketball.
