The North Carolina Tar Heels defeated the Gonzaga Bulldogs by a score of 71-65 on Monday night to capture their sixth National Championship.
With less than 30 seconds remaining and the Tar Heels ahead by three, Gonzaga’s Nigel Williams-Goss drove the lane and attempted a runner to potentially cut the lead to one.
Unfortunately for Williams-Goss, North Carolina big man Kennedy Meeks was there to swat the shot away which led to a Justin Jackson dunk on the other end and put the game on ice.
