LaVar Ball Blames 'White Guys' for UCLA Basketball Failing Son Lonzo Ball

By Anthony Blake

Just when it seemed like LaVar Ball couldn’t say anything more outlandish than calling himself better than Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley or asking for $1 billion in a shoe deal for his three sons, the candidate for most ridiculous father of the year found the most controversial subject available and latched on – race.

Here are the full quotes from Ball to the Southern California News Group:

“Realistically you can’t win no championship with three white guys because the foot speed is too slow. I told Lonzo, ‘One of these games you might need to go for 30 or 40 points.’ It turned out that was the one game. Then once they get to the Elite Eight, they’re right there.”

One can only assume that those ‘three white guys’ Ball refers to are UCLA starters TJ Leaf, Bryce Alford, and Thomas Welsh.

Scapegoating other players on the team just to pump up his son Lonzo Ball‘s NBA Draft stock is a real underhanded move, even for this guy.

And to bring race into the equation, well, let’s just say it shouldn’t be a surprise given his lackluster track record.
