Koyack is the eighth recruit that Kelly has signed for the 2011 class, and he is the first 5-star that Kelly has signed as head coach of Notre Dame.

Koyack measures at 6’5, 230 lbs., and has run the 40-yard dash at 4.65 seconds.  According to Scout.com, Koyack is the second ranked tight end for the 2011 recruiting class.

The newly committed tight end adds to a list of recent commitments for Brian Kelly in his first year as head coach.  The Irish added three commits after the Blue-Gold game on Saturday ( 4* Tackle Conor Hanratty, 4* Tackle Tony Springmann, 4* Linebacker Jarrett Grace), and Koyack also becomes the seventh commitment in the month of April for the Irish.
