Ryan Donahue has chosen PlayersRep Sports Management to represent him as he continues his football career into the professional ranks.
PlayersRep sports agent Matt Brei revealed Donahue’s decision via Twitter on Sunday:
“Want to welcome Iowa punter Ryan Donahue to the PlayersRep family. Another great addition to 2011 NFL Draft class,” Brei said in the Tweet.
The Evergreen Park, Ill., native enters April’s NFL Draft as one of the most highly touted punters. He’s rated as the No. 2 punter (No. 215 overall prospect), according to NFLDraftScout.com. The NFL Draft site projects Donahue to be taken in the sixth or seventh round.
The four-year starter averaged 44.6 yards per punt for the Hawkeyes in 2010, booting 15 kicks 50+ yards and placing 22 punts inside the opponents 20-yard line.
Donahue was one of three finalists for the 2010 Ray Guy award, given annually to the nation’s best punter, but Florida’s Chas Henry won the honor over Donahue and Georgia’s Drew Butler.
PlayersRep Sports Management is very familiar with the Iowa football program. Other clients include former Hawkeyes Amari Spievey, Brandon Myers, and Bradley Fletcher.
