Day 2 Senior Bowl Updates: Iowa’s Ballard Turning Heads

Christian Ballard didn’t receive the same attention and hype as teammate Adrian Clayborn did over his Iowa career.

But perhaps he deserved to.

Ballard started all 13 games for the Hawkeyes in 2010, recording 43 tackles and three sacks. He’s started every game for Iowa since 2008 (39 games), amassing 137 tackles and 10 sacks during his career donning the Black and Gold.

NFL Draft guru Mel Kiper recently released his first 2011 NFL Mock Draft, projecting the Lawrence, Kan., native to be a first-round pick (29th overall to the Green Bay Packers).
