NFL Combine Awaits Hawkeye Prospects

The NFL Scouting Combine is starting on Feb. 23 in Indianapolis. This is one of, if not the, most important place for the Iowa prospects to prove to pro scouts they deserve a roster spot on an NFL squad.

The Hawkeyes are well represented as this year’s combine. Nine former Hawks will be showing off their skills to the NFL Scouts — the most of any Big Ten school.

The entire combine lasts from Feb. 23-March 1, but each player only goes through four days of workouts. The first day consists of registration, pre-exams, X-Rays, orientation and interviews. The second consists of measurements, exams, media, psych tests, and more interviews. The third day involves an NFLPA meeting, as well as more psych tests and more interviews. Finally, the combine culminates with workouts on the final day, consisting of timing, station, and skill drills.
