Wisconsin to play at least four primetime games in 2011
The Big Ten announced Thursday the conference’s seven ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC primetime games, four of which feature the Badgers.
Wisconsin has never played four primetime (7 p.m. Central Time) in one season before, and more might be on the way when the Big Ten Network announces its own primetime games at a later date.
For now, the Badgers primetime games include home vs UNLV Sept. 1, home vs Nebraska Oct. 1, at Michigan State Oct. 22 and at Ohio State Oct. 29. The Big Ten does not allow night games to be played in November unless they are finalized early, which may still happen.
No other Big Ten team received more than two primetime slots on the ESPN networks.
