Wisconsin scores two defensive back commits in 24 hours

The Badgers received two committments from low-level defensive back prospects in the last 24 hours.

Hugs Etienne of Plantation, Fla., who committed Wednesday, is a borderline two/three star recruit. Rivals.com gave Etienne a three-star rating and has him rated as the 44th best corner in the class of 2012. Scout.com has Etienne rated as a two star prospect. He was also offered a scholarship by West Virginia and several smaller Bowl Subdivision schools.

The Badgers got another commitment Thursday from Reggie Mitchell, an unranked and unrated (by all three major recruiting sites) defensive back from Pittsburgh. It took Mitchell less than 24 hours to commit after receiving a scholarship offer yesterday.

I’ll have more on these two and the Badgers other five commits in the next Wisconsin football recruiting update.
