Illinois Football 2012 Recruiting Update

Illinois has been busy recruiting for their 2012 season. The past couple of weeks the Illini were able to sign 4 new recruits. Ron Zook and the staff usually don’t start signing recruits until late in the season. So this is a typical situation.

We’re gonna welcome and profile our 3 new recruits. A lot of “need” positions are being filled and the Illini welcome the first 4 star recruit to the 2012 class.

Ryan Frain- Kicker (2 star prospect)- 6’2″ 205lbs.

Scecina High School- Indianapolis, IN

Expert Analysis- As as kicker, his strength is in his field goal abilities. He participated in the 2011 Kohl’s National Scholarship Camp and finished 10th in FG.

 

Robbie Bain- Offensive Guard (3 star prospect)- 6’3″ 267lbs.

Bolingbrook High School- Bolingbrook, IL

Expert Analysis- Is a tough player who uses his upper body strength very well. Has a decent frame to put on weight at the collegiate level.

Lamar Atkins- Outside Linebacker (No Current Ranking)- 6’0″ 200lbs.

Miami Norland High School- Miami, FL
