Nebraska’s season has had its ups and downs so far. The season is quickly drawing to a close with only two games left. The Huskers are beaten up on the both sides of the ball.
Andrew Rodriguez has a sprained foot, and will be out on Friday. Chase Rome looks to be on track to play this week. Ben Cotton has a nasty injury to the arm/elbow, and probably won’t be playing, but you never know.
For the rest of the team though, it’s time for them to man up. Everyone is tired, hurt, sick, etc.
Taylor Martinez took plenty of hard shots last week and he got back up. Rex Burkhead also has been hammered at times, but he’s still running hard.
For the rest of the team, it’s time to get up and go. Many players were physically manhandled at times, getting pushed around by a Michigan team who wanted it more.
Nebraska better come to play this week, as the “Farmageddon” begins. Though Iowa has struggled at times this season, there is pride on the line. Perhaps this is going to be the next big rivalry in the B1G 10. Bragging rights are on the line, not only for the players on the field, but for all the families’ that have relatives across the Missouri.
Nebraska seems to have chip on their shoulder back, and they need it. No longer can they get embarrassed by 28+ points in a game. The sense of pride has to kick well before the game gets away from them.
For this Husker team, they need to come out and show everyone on national television that last week was a thing of the past. It won’t be easy, but then again, what is about college football? There is a B1G 10 trophy on the line, and Nebraska wants to put their hands on it first.
