Car Accident Involving Tommy Tuberville’s Wife Results In A Fatality
Tommy Tuberville needs a focused team in 2012 to erase the agonizing end to his third season in Lubbock. Will the Texas Tech head coach have the same focus?
Tuberville’s wife, Suzanne, was involved in a car accident November 1st and one of the passengers in the other vehicle died Friday according to the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.
Suzanne Tuberville ran a red light, collided with a car carrying the Purdy couple and 87 year-old Ira passed away from injuries related to the crash. Ira’s wife, Nelda was driving and survived the wreck.
Mrs. Tuberville was issued a citation for the accident according to the Purdy’s attorney, Bradley Pettit.
That leaves open the possibility of litigation and while no charges have been filed, the Lubbock Police Department considers the investigation, “ongoing.”
Texas Tech began spring practice last week intending to improve on a 5-7 campaign in 2011.
As long as the case remains open, Tommy Tuberville is likely to have difficulty zeroing in on that goal.
