College Football Recruiting: Shane Morris Ready to Shine At Michigan
Fourteen months ago, Shane Morris had over two years before he would be off to college. Most men his age were worried about high school dances and what girl to date next.
Morris wasn’t worrying about those things.
He had his mind set on something bigger. Something more important. How about committing to the University of Michigan to play football for Coach Brady Hoke? Pretty big deal.
The quarterback out of De La Salle Collegiate in Warren, Michigan is the Wolverines stud recruit in Michigan’s 2013 class. Just one of many in Big Blue’s number one rated recruiting class for 2013. They continue to roll in the recruits each week.
Morris has been a busy man for the past two years of his life attending recruiting events, including this weekend at The Opening in Beaverton, Oregon. He even earned the trip to the Elite 11 finals, where the country’s top quarterback prospects are invited to.
The 6’3 190-pound Morris is rated the second best pro style quarterback in 2013 by Rivals.com. He’s said to have solid mechanics with high velocity when throwing the football.
The intangibles Hoke will be happy to have in Ann Arbor.
The Dennard Robinson era is almost over, leaving a large pair of shoes(with no laces) to fill on the offense. The way Michigan has been recruiting, it seems they will have no problem bringing in talent to get the job done in the Big House.
It will be interesting to see if Michigan can make it to a significant bowl game for a second year in a row. They have the talent and coaching to do it.
One thing is for sure, consecutive wins against Ohio State means one thing.
Big Blue is back.
