The season is only a week in and for the most part the five star recruits have made a commitment to where they will be playing next season.
For those who have yet to pick a hat in front of a camera, we take a look at where they stand as far as their choices and where they are in the recruitment process.
A lot can happen between now and February, and recruits have been known to change their minds once or several times between now and then. But for now, here is where the top recruits in the land are at in the ever popular recruiting process.

Overall Rank: (2) Laremy Tunsil, OT – Lake City, FL
Made visits to Florida, Georgia, and Alabama this summer and publically stated that he intends to visit USC this season. Even though the Trojans are on the outside looking in, expect them to be in play for the massive, yet agile OT from Florida. The Gators have turned their attention to Tunsil with the recent de-commitment of several OTs, and as of right now they appear to be in the driver’s seat. Prediction: Florida
(9) Montravius Adams, DT – Vienna, GA
Adams was at the Clemson-Auburn game, spoke to both coaches after the game and received positive results. Those two schools seem to be in the lead with Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee also in the mix. He has stated that this could be a long process and probably won’t decide on a school around, or until signing day. Prediction: Auburn
(13) Matthew Thomas, OLB – Miami, FL
Florida State and Miami appear to be the front runners for Thomas, the nations top OLB. But recent news has surfaced that Georgia could be his personal favorite at this point. The Hurricanes have made it known that Thomas is their top priority for the 2013 signing class. Prediction: Florida State
(15) Mackensie Alexander, CB – Immokalee, FL
Alexander has stated the he has been in close contact with numerous schools including; Clemson, Notre Dame, Alabama, Florida State, Miami, and Ole Miss. Recent rumors suggest that Notre Dame is in the lead for now. He plans on not taking his visit until his senior season is over, so his commitment might not be known until after the Holidays. Prediction: Notre Dame
(17) Ricky Seals-Jones, WR – Sealy, TX
Seals-Jones was already committed to play in Austin for the Longhorns, but decided to re-open the process again. Even after stating that Texas is still the front runner, several schools are making a push for his services at WR. It’s known the he also wants to play basketball, and with that, LSU and Texas A&M are in the mix. So far, both Texas and Texas A&M have said that they are open to him being a two-sport athlete. Prediction: Texas
(20) Dorian Johnson, OT – Belle Vernon, PA
A one-time Penn State commit, Johnson started new with the recruiting process in lieu of the sanctions the Nittany Lions face from the NCAA. “I decided that all the sanctions were too much,” the nation’s second highest-rated offensive tackle said. “That’s not what I committed to Penn State for.” Johnson is now looking at Pitt, Ohio State, and Virginia Tech. He will take a visit to Virginia Tech, and admittedly didn’t know too much about the Hokies program. So for right now Pitt and Ohio State seem to be the favorite. Prediction: Pitt
(21) Derrick Green, RB – Richmond, VA
In August, Green mentioned six favorites; Auburn, Oregon, Georgia, Ole Miss, Michigan and Tennessee. He commented on the Auburn game and noticed how they “had some things going to the outside and inside runs.” He also has decided to recently take visits to Auburn and Tennessee and more recently mentioned that he will visit Michigan. Right now it seems the Auburn and Michigan are the favorites to land him. Prediction: Michigan
(22) Greg Bryant, RB – Delray Beach, FL
A one time commit to Oklahoma, Bryant has narrowed his choices down to SEC schools Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, and South Carolina. After de-committing from Oklahoma, he said distance was the factor, and has been in contact with Auburn and Georgia coaches recently. No word has been said on when he plans on announcing a school. Prediction: Auburn
