Wisconsin Prep Football Latest AP Rankings

This week’s high school football rankings, for the most part, held serve across Wisconsin. There were a couple of movers and shakers in the divisions and I predict once we start getting deeper into conference play, we will see a number of teams sliding either up or down across the board. Once again records follow the team which is then followed by what they were ranked the previous week.

LARGE DIVISION (enrollment 900+)

1. Hartland Arrowhead  2-0  2

2. Waunakee  2-0  1

3. Sun Prairie  2-0  3

4. Sussex Hamilton  2-0  5

5. Brookfield Central  2-0  4

6. Marshfield  2-0  6

7. Appleton North  2-0  8

8. Mequon Homestead  2-0  9

9. Monona Grove  1-1  7

10. Kimberly  2-0  10

Nothing major in the Large Division this week. I figure Arrowhead and Waunakee flip flop positions all year depending who they play until one of them gets defeated. Monona Grove slid two spots this week despite winning, even though last week’s rankings saw them shoot up after a loss.

MEDIUM DIVISION (301-899)

1. West De Pere  2-0  1

2. Walworth Big Foot  2-0  2

3. Waukesha Catholic Memorial  2-0  3

4. Wisconsin Lutheran  2-0  4

5. Kewaskum  2-0  5

6. Plymouth  2-0  6

7. Waupaca   2-0   7

8. Pewaukee  2-0  8

9. Platteville  2-0  9

10.Somerset  2-0  10

Second verse same as the first for the Medium Divison. Everyone stayed in their positions from a week ago. I expect Wisconsin Lutheran to start making some noise atop the division in the next couple of weeks.

SMALL DIVISION (300 and lower)

1. St. Mary’s Springs  2-0  1

2. Edgar  2-0  2

3. Lancaster  2-0  3

4. Eau Claire Regis  2-0  4

5. Colby  2-0  5

6. Potosi  2-0  7

7. Shiocton  2-0  8

8. Hurley  2-0  9

9. Hilbert  2-0  10

10. Kenosha St. Joseph  2-0  NR

Don’t panic, I did not get the number one team the wrong name, I just thought I would start using their actual school name. The big news is last week’s number six team Stratford Tigers being knocked completely out of the top ten after an embarrassing loss to Eau Claire Regis 50-0 last Thursday. That loss made way for Kenosha St. Joe’s to make an appearance in this weeks top ten.
