Joliet Catholic (1-1) at St. Viator (2-0): The Hilltoppers got back to their winning ways in a 34-26 win against Robeson in Week 2. Tyler Reitz ran for over 200 yards while playing for USC-recruit Ty Isaac. Viator scored a 21-3 win over Deerfield and has given up just three points so far this season. Bobby Calmeyn threw for over 135 yards on the night.
Marist (2-0) at Nazareth (2-0): The RedHawks won a high-scoring battle at Brother Rice for their second straight win. Marist has scored 84 points in two games after their 49-35 win last week. The Roadrunners play their third straight home game and has 85 points of their own after two games following a 48-12 win over Julian in Week 2.
Benet Academy (2-0) at St. Patrick (1-1): A 35-21 win over South Elgin allowed Benet to top their 2011 win total with their second win of the season. Porter Ontko scored four touchdowns in the win for a team that scored just 43 points all season last year. The Shamrocks defeated Niles Notre Dame 40-21 in a game between ESC rivals that didn’t count towards the conference standings.
Marian Catholic (0-2) at Carmel (0-2): A game where the winner avoids going 0-3 and having a tough time making the state playoffs. Marian lost 30-7 at home to Crete-Monee after losing 35-7 the previous week. Carmel lost at home 31-16 to Glenbard North. Tim Serio had a 70-yard touchdown run on the second play of the game for the Corsairs last week.
Normal Community (1-1) at Niles Notre Dame (1-1): The Dons fell 40-21 to St. Patrick after getting a Week 1 win and now face a Normal Community team that is hitting the road for the first time all season after losing 20-18 at home to Bloomington last week.
