Don’t You Tell Me What To Do, John L. Smith

Marvin Gentry-US PRESSWIRE

Arkansas Razorbacks coach John L. Smith has finally had enough of all the downtrodden, morose attitudes around Fayetteville and the campus after the team’s 0-2 start and decided to let the press know that unless they turned that ol’ frown upside down, he wouldn’t have a word to say.

See Exhibit A:

I can hear it now going through the minds of the Arkansas beat writers collected in the room to begin the next chapter of their post-mortem on the Razorbacks, and who would be their next head coach, when Smith hits the bricks:

“Don’t you tell me what to do John L. Smith! I’ll mope and pout if I want to!”

Although, John L. will tell you what to do and you’ll like it.. or else.. no information!

Regardless of what your personal opinion is of John L. Smith as a coach, you have to respect the fact he understands who is accountable, and just how serious things should actually be when it comes to football, and life.

The next time you show up to a game Arkansas fans, wear a smile.

Losing a few football games isn’t the end of the world.

I promise, it isn’t.
