Bo Pelini and Nebraska picked a good weekend to host around 20 potential recruits for their game against Wisconsin Saturday under the lights in prime time. Players will have the opportunity to stand on the sidelines in front of 85,000 spectators and watch the Huskers and Badgers battle it out in each teams alternative uniforms.

“It should be a good atmosphere, and I’m anticipating that the fans will be excited,” Pelini said.

I’m anticipating it will be a fantastic atmosphere. Fans will be so juiced up to see their Huskers play the Badgers, who have struggled out of the gate so far this season. The Nebraska offense has been explosive and, with a healthy Rex Burkhead back, it could be even more dangerous.

A lot of Nebraska’s recruits come from the lands of California, Texas and around the Midwest. The atmosphere at this game will be as good as any venue around the nation and the Huskers have a real chance to beat up on the Badgers. A big performance may be able to sway a recruit to Lincoln quite easily.

New recruiting coordinator Ross Els will have the job of showing recruits around and making sure they have a good visit in Lincoln. Current players will also have the job to make sure recruits feel comfortable, and if the Huskers win, you can be sure recruits will have a taste of a few after parties.

These experiences for the recruits are special and Nebraska will be sure to put on a nice show.
