Auburn Krystal Restaurant Sends Words of Encouragement to Tigers
It’s always nice when a college football program has the support of local businesses. It adds that “we’re all in this together” feel from week to week and is a part of community that can really help a team succeed.
As seen below, the Auburn, Alabama Krystal Hamburger Restaurant took things to a whole new level by encouraging the Auburn Tigers on to victory, well, sometime this season:
The 1-7 Auburn Tigers are one of the most disappointing teams in the SEC this season, and one of the conference’s worst. With a sputtering offense that has finally just changed quarterbacks, and a porous defense that can’t stop anyone, head coach Gene Chizik‘s backside is on fire and it’s becoming a foregone conclusion that a new coach will be wearing the headsets at Jordan-Hare Stadium next fall.
As the local Krystal recognizes, when your team is 115th overall in passing yards allowed, 101st overall in rushing yards allowed, has the 122nd worst offense in the country, and is 81st in points against, you can’t be too specific about which game you would like to see them win.
Wishing for a win against, anybody, somebody, is sometimes all you can ask for.
With four games left on the schedule, including matchups against the Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs– both of whom are in contention for the SEC championship– that somebody may be the Alabama A&M Bulldogs.
My how things can change in just three years.
Guess Cam Newton really was somebody, huh?
