Last night University of Alabama star quarterback, AJ McCarron led a big drive that ended with a game winning 28-yard touchdown screen pass with 51 left to freshmen running back T.J. Yeldon to defeat their big SEC rival, LSU 21-17 in “Death Valley”.
This was no way a pretty win, but this was without question the most talked about regular season game of the year as the University of Alabama was the number one ranked team in the nation and LSU was number five. It seems like recent memory shows this battle is always between two top five teams or like last year, the rematch game was for the National Title in which Alabama won after losing to LSU during the regular season.
After the game, it was really nice to see a family moment as after the game AJ ran over and hugged his dad whom was in attendance in the front row in Baton Rouge. I like moments like that.
I think this was Alabama’s big test for the year, while they didn’t ace the test, they still passed even if it was by the skin of their teeth, but that’s just my take, what do you all think? Let me know!!
