For others it is a weekend they and their fans want to forget…
So many things finally got sorted out…
But as it looks, the Irish will be playing the winner of the SEC Championship.
And everyone else will be on the outside looking in once again…
So all that is left to determine is how the other BCS Bowls will fall into place.
Who will represent the SEC..
The Big 12 has 9 of its 10 teams Bowl Eligible…
Does the ACC even deserve to send someone…
Who is even eligible from the Big 10 to go…
Can the Pac 12 just forego its Title Game…
Who of among 4 teams will win the Big East…
So a lot of questions still to answer and a lot of compelling football to be played!
The official BCS Rankings will be out later on today, but it’s now time to unveil the Official Rant Sports Top 25 College Football Rankings.

No. 25 - Texas Longhorns
Despite the loss to the TCU Horned Frogs on Thanksgiving, the Texas Longhorns hold on at No. 25 in the Rant Sports Top 25 Poll for Week 14.
The loss ended any hope the Longhorns had for jumping into a major bowl as it looks destined to make another appearance in the Holiday Bowl.
No. 24 - Oklahoma State Cowboys
The Oklahoma State Cowboys seemed poised to blowout their rival in the Oklahoma Sooner in Bedlam last night but found a way to lose in Overtime.
Despite the loss, the Cowboys hold on to No. 24 in the Rant Sports Top 25 Poll for Week 14.
No. 23 - Rutgers Scarlet Knights
It was pretty much of a disaster Saturday for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights as it got destroyed by the Pittsburgh Panthers, 27-6.
The loss sets up a showdown for the Big East BCS Ticket with the Louisville Cardinals this weekend.
No. 22 - Louisville Cardinals
The Louisville Cardinals couldn’t take care of business either on Saturday as it dropped a tough 23-20 loss to the Connecticut Huskies at home in triple overtime.
Despite the loss, the Cardinals still have a shot at the BCS with a win this week against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
No. 21 - Michigan Wolverines
And another team that had an opportunity to improve its position in the nation but failed was the Michigan Wolverines.
Despite looking strong, Michigan found a way to lose to the Ohio State Buckeyes.
No. 20 - Utah State Aggies
Probably the best team in all of College Football no one is talking about is the Utah State Aggies.
After pounding the Idaho Vandals the Aggies finished the season with just a pair of losses to the Wisconsin Badgers and the BYU Cougars.
Utah State won the WAC with a perfect 6-0 record.
No. 19 - Boise State Broncos
The Boise State Broncos enter the Rant Sports Top 25 at No. 19 for Week 14.
Boise State was off this week and will play the Nevada Wolf Pack this week to end the 2012 season.
No. 18 - UCLA Bruins
The UCLA Bruins were another team to falter over Thanksgiving as it fell to the Stanford Cardinal, 35-17.
The ironic thing is that these two schools will play each other again this weekend in the Pac 12 Championship Game.
No. 17 - Kent State Golden Flashes
The Kent State Golden Flashes dumped the Ohio Bobcats, 28-6, to move to 11-1 and 8-0 and to qualify for the MAC Championship.
The Golden Flashes will face the Northern Illinois Huskies in the title game on Friday.
No. 16 - Northern Illinois Huskies
The Northern Illinois Huskies crushed the Eastern Michigan Eagles, 49-7, to move to 11-1 and 8-0 in the MAC.
The Huskies will face the Kent State Golden Flashes in the MAC Title Game on Friday.
No. 15 - Clemson Tigers
There are fewer teams that are more disappointed in the nation than the Clemson Tigers today after they were knocked off by the South Carolina Gamecocks.
The Tigers had a perfect opportunity to win its way into a BCS Berth and give the ACC some much needed respect nationally.
Instead, Clemson fell flat on its face.
And took the ACC with it.
No. 14 - Florida State Seminoles
And another team that destroyed the hopes of ACC Nation was the Florida State Seminoles.
The ‘Noles were handled easily by the Florida Gators before making a run to take the lead only to fall to its own turnovers in the end.
A terrible loss to the SEC and the death nail in the Seminoles and the ACC season.
No. 13 - Nebraska Cornhuskers
The Nebraska Cornhuskers slipped past the Iowa Hawkeyes to qualify for the Big 10 Championship Game.
Nebraska will face the Wisconsin Badgers in the title game.
No. 12 - Oklahoma Sooners
Somehow the Oklahoma Sooner found a way to come back against the Oklahoma State Cowboys to keep their hopes of an impressive Bowl Game alive.
The Sooners will face the TCU Horned Frogs this week to wrap up the season.
No. 11 - South Carolina Gamecocks
Well, the South Carolina Gamecocks used the mighty power of the SEC to overpower and slow down the Clemson Tigers.
The Gamecocks are done, but they did a lot of damage to their rival in the Tigers last night.
No. 10 - Stanford Cardinal
The Stanford Cardinal easily handled the UCLA Bruins to earn a spot in the Pac 12 Championship Game.
The Cardinal have played their way to face the Bruins again this week.
No. 9 - LSU Tigers
It took everything it had, but the LSU Tigers kept up with the pace of the nation with a win over the Arkansas Razorbacks.
The Tigers await to see who falls ahead of them this week and what Bowl Game comes calling.
No. 8 - Kansas State Wildcats
The Kansas State Wildcatshad the week off and will end the 2012 season against the Texas Longhorns this week.
With a win, the Wildcats will officially claim the Big 12 Crown.
No. 7 - Texas A&M Aggies
No team has finished the season better or stronger than the Texas A&M Aggies.
And thanks to the beat down they gave the Missouri Tigers and the fact the SEC as a whole dominated the ACC, the BCS will be very, very kind to the Aggies.
No. 6 - Ohio State Buckeyes
The Ohio State Buckeyes completed a perfect season on Saturday upending the Michigan Wolverines.
But sanctions are keeping the Buckeyes from competing in any Bowl Games and keeping them from being ranked in some poles.
Ohio State’s season is over.
No. 5 - Oregon Ducks
The Oregon Ducks made easy work of its rival in the Oregon State Beavers yesterday to keep in the BCS mix.
The Ducks are done and will await to see what BCS Bowl selects it.
No. 4 - Florida Gators
There were not more teams more impressive than the Florida Gators as they dumped the Florida State Seminoles.
The Gators will sit and wait to see if they can jump the loser of the SEC Championship Game.
No. 3 - Georgia Bulldogs
The Georgia Bulldogs proved to the nation loud and clear it was ready for a date with the BCS National Title Game as it destroyed the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
Georgia will face the Alabama Crimson Tide this week in the SEC Championship with the winner going to the BCS Championship.
No. 2 - Alabama Crimson Tide
The Alabama Crimson Tide did what it needed to do against the lowly Auburn Tigers to claim the SEC Western Division Crown.
The Tide will face the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Title Game with the winner heading to the BCS Championship.
No. 1 - Notre Dame Fighting Irish
And it is officially official…
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish rode the strength of its defense on a four and goal stand late to hold off the USC Trojans to finish the season perfect at 12-0.
The Irish will sit and wait to see who they will face in the BCS Championship.
