Notre Dame has punched its ticket to Miami last night after defeating USC and will in the BCS Championship at Sun Life Stadium for the first time since 1993.

This team has been spearheaded by its defense that only allowed 17 points, once this entire season and that was a triple overtime game against the University at Pittsburgh. The defense is led by who I think is currently the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy in linebacker Manti Te’o.

It’s a good day for the Fighting Irish and their fans; however I do have concerns as last night’s game is the last they will have to play until the championship, 43 days from today. That’s an extremely long lay over, while a team like The University of Alabama will have the SEC Championship in two weeks versus the University of Georgia. More so if it’s the Crimson Tide because their coach Nick Saban is a master strategist and will have four weeks to devise a game plan to beat the mighty defense of Notre Dame, not to mention quarterback Everett Golson but that’s my take, what do you all think and let me know!
