Charlie Strong Turns Down Tennessee; Will Stay At Louisville
Charlie Strong has been quite the popular coach over the last few weeks. A lot of teams have been after him but it appears that no one will be able to pry him away from Louisville. He recently rejected an offer from Tennessee and he will be with the Cardinals for the future.
Wow. RT @sipetethamel: BREAKING: Charlie Strong turns down Tennessee, new Louisville contract is being finalized.

I think this is a very good move for Strong. He is building the team into quite a contender and now they are going to be in a stable conference. There is no need to jump into shark infested waters. He has a better shot to play for a national title where he is currently at it. If that is his main goal, he has made the right move.
I honestly have no idea what Tennessee is going to do next. They have been shot down by everyone they have asked, and it looks like the job might end up being poison. No one wants to put their name into the ring to take it. It is kind of shocking but they look like a lower level team right now.
Strong is going to get a nice raise and hopefully he can deliver for the school. They are putting a lot of faith in him and he needs to live up to his brand new contract. If not, there will be some very unhappy fans in Louisville.
