AIRBHG Strikes Again: Greg Garmon To Transfer
After taking some time off, it appears that AIRBHG was back in business. If you are unclear on the meaning, that stands for Angry Iowa Running Back Hating God. On Wednesday, former four star recruit Greg Garmon announced that he was transferring from the school.
Former Erie (Pa.) McDowell four-star RB Greg Garmon has just told me he asked for and received release from #Iowa and will transfer.

A lot of people saw this move coming, but that does not make it any better. Garmon had a ton of talent, but he ended behind Mark Weisman and Damon Bullock. The two were not that durable so there was a chance to get some playing time. However, this is just the latest in a string of backs that has left Iowa.
This might be an indictment of the program at this point. Iowa fans are resigned to laughing and that is about the only thing that helps this make sense. Either that or large amounts of beer, but I am not condoning that approach just yet. It looks like it could be another long year for the Hawkeyes, especially if the above two names end up hurt again.
Garmon will probably go off to some other school and have moderate success. That is the main trend. Running backs leave Iowa and they either succeed or they fall off the face of the earth. However, the only thing that remains common is that Iowa can’t keep them to save their lives.
