Beef 'O' Brady's Bowl Looks Like Great Chance For Central Florida Knights

Friday night brings the fourth bowl game of this season’s college football postseason as the 9-4 Central Florida Knights face the 9-3 Ball State Cardinals in St. Petersburg at 7:30 p.m. ET in the Beef ‘O’ Brady’s Bowl. This sounds like a game to me where being already in Florida could help the Knights win this game with the fact that Ball State has to travel south. If you love offense though, this is your game with both teams averaging 35 points per game.

Central Florida has to be reeling still from losing the Conference USA title game in overtime and could still be down after that figuring that they should be in a better game. Ball State played in the very competitive Mid-American Conference but has one very major problem and that is a very weak rush defense. If the Knights can exploit the holes in the Cardinals defense with regularity, it will be a very long night for Ball State and their fans.

I think Ball State just won’t have enough offense to hang on if their defense doesn’t slow down Central Florida and with injury concerns for the Cardinals, which will likely bring Ball State down. I am going to go with Central Florida getting the win 38-28 to win this game. Central Florida has too balanced of an offense to be stopped by Ball State I don’t think. If the Knights rush for over 250 yards which could happen, it could be even more of a blowout than just ten points.
