The 2012 college football bowl season is in full swing as Saturday afternoon brings the Maaco Bowl Las Vegas between the Boise State Broncos and the Washington Huskies at 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Boise comes in with a 10-2 record while Washington is 7-5. This is a game that once again brings a small school up against one of the major conferences.
It is obvious that Boise State can play with anyone in the country and this game should prove that once again. The Broncos have just two losses by a combined total of six points. While Boise isn’t the same force that it has been in years past with graduation hitting the team hard, the Broncos can still move the ball up and down the field very well. Washington can score in bunches too and fans may remember last season that the Huskies scored 56 points in their bowl game and most of those players are on the team still.
This will turn into an offensive shootout in my opinion with both teams topping 30 points for the afternoon in Las Vegas. Boise though has an advantage defensively and may be able to get the one extra stop on defense that they will need to win this football game. I’m going to take Boise State to get the win 38-33. This isn’t the same Broncos team as years past but it still will be enough to get past a five-loss Huskies team in a very competitive football game for fans in attendance and those watching from home.
