Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets senior safety Rod Sweeting pretty much summed up the 2012 season with his eloquent acceptance speech following a dominating 21-7 victory over the USC Trojans

It was a simple and sweet, “Oh S#&%…”.

That was probably a statement both the Yellow Jackets and Trojans have heard a lot this season and probably one both Lane Kiffin and Paul Johnson mumbled when they accepted the bids to play in the Hyundai Sun Bowl.

It was clear from their arrival USC should have just turned down the bid and let another team who wanted to play give the Yellow Jackets a run for their money.

The Trojans have one of the most talented teams in the country and could only manage seven points against a Tech team who gave up 42 points to the Miami Hurricanes, 49 to Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders, 47 to the Clemson Tigers, 41 to the BYU Cougars, 50 to the North Carolina Tar Heels and 42 to the Georgia Bulldogs

Now it is clear the Yellow Jackets have rallied around interim defensive coordinator Charles Kelly and all of ACC Football nation was thrilled to see the fight, passion and emotion Georgia Tech had in today’s game.

They were an easy bunch to root for…

Even with Sweeting’s gaffe on live television…

Because you can tell the Yellow Jackets were not happy with their performance and wanted to prove to the nation and the world Johnson and Kelly are their coaches who they are willing to go anywhere and fight for…

It was awesome!

And then you have the debacle that is Kiffin and the Trojans…

A team with more talent than 85% of all of College Football who could only manage 10 first downs and 208 total yards in the game.

The Trojans are a direct reflection of its head coach…

Lazy, unprepared, undisciplined and more worried about looking good in the logo than playing well on the field.

It’s so bad everyone is in love with Sweeting on his S-Bomb drop and Kiffin would have been fired on the spot.

And with Matt Barkley gone and Matt Wittek clearly looking like he is way in over his surfboard, things do not look promising for Trojan fans.

It’s so bad senior WR Robert Woods used the post game presser to announce he tired of this mess and will head to the NFL.

Which is not surprise since Kiffin hasn’t proven one thing in any of his football jobs…

But enough with the bashing…

Let’s get back to the fact the ACC is alive and kicking at 2-2 in the 2012 Bowl campaign with two games remaining.

All of ACC Nation says thank you to Georgia Tech. You represented the conference well as the runner up and Coastal Division Champion
