Which USC Rival Will Benefit More UCLA Or Notre Dame?
Tonight, one program will receive news that there recruiting class has been upgraded when defensive end Kylie Fitts makes his decision this evening. Which program will it be that attains Fitts services is somewhat of a mystery.
Who will it be is a toss-up that only Fitts can answer this evening when he makes the official announcement. Speculation would lead to believe that UCLA will be his choice. UCLA is only 14 miles away from USC, Fitts was originally committed to and expected to enroll at USC in January.
Fitts broke his commitment and reopened the recruiting process after USC coaches told him there would not be a scholarship available until after the spring semester. Fitts visited UCLA on January 18th, which turned out to be about 10 days after the USC debacle. Fitts would be a key addition for UCLA and head coach Jim Mora Jr. who already have 23 players committed to the Bruins in this years recruiting class.
UCLA was only one alternative for the highly recruited defensive end. Fitts traveled to South Bend the following week and met with coach Brian Kelly and the Fighting Irish coaches. Fitts could be a great addition to Notre Dame and their recruiting class of 23 recruits that is impressive could be considered the best in the country.
Despite how he was treated in January could Fitts still be a Trojan? It would seem unlikely that Kiffin could get away with deceiving this recruit, but Fitts did listen to USC recruiters earlier this week.
Fitts will make his decision known this evening, and how fitting it would be for him to announce that he is going to play for one of the Trojans biggest rivals, after USC showed him the door before he arrived on campus?
