MacKensie Alexander, the Clemson Tigers newest five star recruit from Florida is ready to go…right now! The young cornerback sat down with TigerNet.com this week and made some pretty bold statements. In short, he expects to start right away. It’s a pretty safe bet that he will. Alexander boasts the title of being the fourth best high school recruit from 2013.
“Of course, I am coming in there thinking I am going to play. I could have gone anywhere in the country.I didn’t come in there to watch that spot. You could watch the games and you were like, wow! So I didn’t choose them to sit. I want to come in immediately and compete for a spot”.
He certainly isn’t lacking in the confidence department, and I don’t think you can fault the guy for that. Clemson was in desperate need for secondary help, and I think they nailed it by signing Alexander.
“I am going to work hard no matter what. My coaches have always said I outwork everybody. That isn’t going to change”.
You gotta love the attitude. Clemson fans should see him shine from day one against the Georgia Bulldogs. Alexander went on to say that he is going to watch so much tape on Georgia, he wont have to watch anymore because he will know it in his head. He has me hyped up! I wish it was the first week of the college football season myself, because we’d all get to see if Alexander’s walk is as good as his talk.
