Ah, spring is in the air.
Well, maybe not quite yet, with snow on the ground in Fort Collins for the last week.
But, hey, Spring Ball is right around the corner, Ram fan!
On Thursday, Colorado State announced their spring drills dates and times, with scrimmages and the annual Spring Game open to the public.
The upcoming spring practices are great for a few reasons.
First, it gives fans a chance to see some new faces, as part of the Rams’ recruiting class is already on campus and participating in Ram U. It also allows everyone to see how the off-season strength and conditioning program is impacting the players’ bodies and the way they play the game
Next, because practices have been closed to the media and public alike since head coach Jim McElwain‘s arrival from the Alabama Crimson Tide, it’s a unique chance to see not only Mac, but his assistant coaches in action, teaching what it means to be a big-time college football program.
And lastly, but maybe most importantly, it gives us all a reason to get outside, enjoy the colorful Colorado weather all while feeding our need for football.
Here’s a look at the upcoming CSU Rams spring drills schedule, with a focus on the events open to the public:
Tuesday, March 26: Colorado State opens spring drills (closed to public)
