Breaking Down the Georgia Bulldogs Quiet Spring Break

Daniel Shirey-USA TODAY Sports

Silence is golden.

That is probably what Mark Richtthe Georgia Bulldogs coaching staff and fans are saying with just 48 hours left to go in the 2013 Spring Break season in Athens.

Now normally, this sports writer is all about some debauchery and mischief when it comes to College Football. The level of talent on a team and the arrest record usually equates in some sort of championship. Especially in the SEC.

But what is going on with this Bulldog team?

Don’t take it this the wrong way. Georgia is a great school, but the Athens Police have been quick to pop some cuffs on Georgia Football players as bling in a seconds notice in years past. Are they getting soft? Maybe the Po-Po is on spring break as well?

Or is it something greater?

Aaron Murray‘s return for his senior season has definitely set a tone the team has not had in years, if not decades. The kid turned down spring break with his teammates and all the ladies to work on his game in Oklahoma.

Does the following Tweet sound like a senior who is on his final spring break of his college career.

That post versus this post this time last year on spring break with teammates in Key West.

Amazing what a year can do for a kid. And this is why so man NFL executives were besides themselves when Murray decided to return to Athens.

Quite a different tone for a senior as compared to maybe the current Heisman Trophy Johnny Manziel winner…

(crickets)

So with that being said, keep up the great leadership Murray. There is still 48 hours to go for these kids to find their way on the top Honey Badger Award.
