Alabama Crimson Tide Fan Compares Nick Saban to Adolph Hitler

Nick Saban

Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban is dictator-like in many ways. What he says goes. The old adage “his way or the highway” is actually true, unlike in many circumstances where men with his power have plenty of bark but no bite.

In rare occasions, dictators are successful at perpetrating whatever diabolical plans they have conceived through their ability to bend people to their will, and convince large groups to deliver this will through action.

Alabama superfan Lee Allen — who, coincidentally has over 200 autographs from Nick Saban (not sure why more than one is necessary, but I digress) — took a few minutes at SEC Media Days to compare his beloved leader to another, well, not-so-beloved-leader:

“He’s a winner, he just does what he wants to do,” says Lee Allen, an Alabama fan from Decatur. “He’s kind of like Hitler. He’s a dictator. He brought us back to the top and I figure we’re going to be here for a while. Money well spent.”

In responding to whether Allen mean that as a compliment:

“Yeah,” Allen says in between discreetly spitting tobacco juice into a water bottle in the lobby.

H/T to Sports Grid for the quote.

Well, not sure what there is to say here but, wow.

Yes, Hitler for a short-time gave Germany a reason to believe in itself again, until he murdered millions of people he didn’t care for just because of their cultural heritage in spite of the fact he directly resembled those he persecuted.

I know, minor little details.

Someone please get reach out to Lee Allen and give him a little History 101 lesson before his general ignorance turns into something much worse.

I just shed a single tear for the future of our country.

Tear.
