2013 ACC Preseason All-Conference Team Announced

As usual on the heels of the annual ACC Kickoff event, the 2013 Preseason All-Conference Team was announced on Wednesday as we inch closer to the beginning of the collegiate football season and seeing if these young men can live up to this billing. All of this year’s members exhibited the exceptional abilities that warranted them each a spot on this year’s list.

With that, here is your 2013 Preseason All-ACC Squad:

Well, there you have it folks. That right there is your 2013 Preseason All-ACC team.

Now you can dissect a preseason list up-and-down for days on end from now until the end of August, and some of you might. But we all know that in the end, this list is a tad meaningless and more about respect and aspirations more than anything.

There is one glaring issue that sticks out to me however.

The absence of Virginia Tech CB Antone Exum irks me just a little bit. Florida State’s Joyner is indeed one of the most talented defensive backs in the country, but this is his first year at the CB slot after making the move from safety. Even for this list, Joyner received 12 votes for his old position.

Exum on the other hand is a proven, deadly commodity at the position. Although it’s not certain when his return will exactly be from offseason knee surgery, there are still some that are optimistic that it can come as early as the Alabama Crimson Tide opener.

Other than that, this list seems like one of the biggest no-brainers in its history.
