Christian Jones is returning to the Florida State Seminoles defense much to the dismay of the rest of the ACC. One of the best returning linebackers in college football returning to haunt the dreams of quarterbacks across the conference is something that many coaches and players are not looking forward to facing.

At 6-foot-4 and 235 pounds, Jones is a physical specimen that strikes fear into any and all opponents on his way to leading his team to victory more often than not. The weakside linebacker was the leading tackler in 2012 with 95 tackles and set career-highs for tackles for loss, pass break-ups and fumble recoveries last season while becoming one of the best players at his position in the nation.

It will be interesting to see how Jones runs this defense coming off a stellar season in which Florida State had one of the best defensive units in all of college football.

With 169 career tackles, Jones is one of the best to play linebacker in recent years at Florida State. Jimbo Fisher has himself a gem on the defensive side of the ball and a leader and senior captain are just two more titles that go along with being the team’s top defender.

Florida State has a likely chance of winning an ACC title, but their biggest test will come against the Clemson Tigers in game six, likely setting the table for what could be a classic conference race that might go down to the final games of the season. Jones has one of the best defenses to back him and I wouldn’t be surprised if they made a conference title run and easily made it to the conference title game.
