SEC Football: Alabama Crimson Tide, Texas A&M Aggies Game Preview Against the Spread
No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide at No. 7 Texas A&M Aggies (+7.5)
3:30 p.m. – CBS – XM 91 – Sirius 91
Do you want to know why the SEC is loved and hated by so many fans in College Football? It’s because for the second-week in a row the SEC gives you a playoff-game between two Top 10 teams that will have the winner surviving and advancing looking for an SEC and BCS Title while the loser is left playing catch up for the rest of the season.
In other words just completely epic football as the Alabama Crimson Tide invade College Station looking to avenge last year’s loss to Johnny Manziel and his Texas A&M Aggies. A game that features two teams that haven’t really shown us much with very weak opponents or vanilla game plans are ready to dress up in their Saturday best and fight it out like grown men in the South should.
So who wins this battle on the field and from a Vegas standpoint? Ole Woody Smalls (12-12 in 2013) is a little confused to be honest. And the reason why is because neither team has shown us anything really. The Aggies’ defense cannot be as bad as it has been in the first two games while the Tide has given us all one game to take a look at, and it wasn’t anything to write home about.
But in this game something will give and the fact that Nick Saban has had about eight months to prepare for Manziel and the Aggies this year will be the difference. Kevin Sumlin will have A&M ready to go, the 12th Man will be rocking and Manziel using his talented teammates; but you can’t bet against Saban and Bama. The Crimson Tide wins but do not cover, 33-31.
