Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

With Week 8 of the college football season coming up, we are officially halfway through the 2013 season and the most exciting part of this season's schedule. During the second half of the schedule, we can expect to see schedules laden with a host of games that decide conference champions, and to see the epic moments that go on to decide who will win awards such as the Heisman Trophy Award, Maxwell Award and Biletnikoff Award.

In addition to providing deciding matches for conference championships and awards, the second half of the season also promises to entertain because nearly every remaining game throughout the country comes in the form of inter-conference games, which in turn will lead to a host of upsets and the deciding of every conferences' winners. In past years, it has become almost a ritual that BCS contenders are exposed by their biggest rivals late in the season, and in turn everything that their favorite team worked for go up in flames. There is no doubting that this period can make fans pull the hair out of their heads as their favorite teams' seasons get washed down the drain, but it is also the reason why many people love college so much in the first place.

Keeping in mind this nerve-wracking, yet exciting period of college football games, we have compiled a list of the 10 games you must watch in Week 7. This list includes games that are composed of rivalries, conference games and even matches that will have National Championship implications.

10.UCF vs. Louisville

Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports

When UCF travels to Louisville on Friday night, common sense would say that the home side will cruise to an easy victory, but that underestimates their pesky opponents. During the 2013 season, UCF has beaten a solid Penn State team and almost garnered a shock victory over South Carolina on the backs of a defense that ranks eleventh in the nation in points allowed, so it can be assured that they are no pushovers. How this defensive unit fares against Teddy Bridgewater, arguably the best quarterback in college football, will likely decide what appears likely to be a very good matchup. Check this game out on Friday at 8 p.m. EST on ESPN.

Beth Hall-USA TODAY Sports

Each week of the 2013 college football season has seemed to be a roller coaster for South Carolina, and it is hard to believe that Week 8 will not be much of the same. Most of the questions will surround whether or not Jadeveon Clowney will show up this week, or whether he takes yet another week off mentally. On the flip side will be a Tennessee team that has held Georgia and Florida to surprisingly close games in recent weeks, which shows they can play with the big boys. Expect Tennessee to again punch far above their weight, and gain some momentum off playing in front of their home fans to keep South Carolina at bay. Watch this one on Saturday at 12 p.m. EST on ESPN.

This matchup between LSU and Ole Miss will meet in a clash of two teams heading in opposite directions. LSU has won two-consecutive games and leaped their way up to the No. 6 ranking in the latest AP poll, while Ole Miss has lost three-consecutive games fallen out of the national rankings. Still, the gulf between these two teams is not as large as one would expect, and Ole Miss should be expected to come out firing in front of their home fans this weekend. Twentieth-ranked Washington traveling to unranked Arizona State may not be a matchup of two top-10 teams, but it is shaping up to be one of the best games of the weekend nevertheless. Both teams have scored over 35 points per game throughout the 2013 season, and appear likely to be gearing up for a shootout in Arizona on Saturday. For those who like offense, tuning into Pac-12 Network on Saturday at 6 p.m. will be a must.

USC vs. Notre Dame is one of the best rivalries in college football history no matter how good or bad each team is, and almost ensures that each game between the two teams will be a nail biter. Both teams sit at 4-2 during 2013, looking rather average in the process, and on paper appear to be a very even matchup. As the only one of the 14 teams not to be nationally ranked, it can be assured that Houston will come out of the gates with their tails on fire this Saturday. Facing them will be a perennially underrated BYU team, who sport one of the toughest defenses in the nation and historically have had their way with highly-ranked teams. Neither team may have the brand name of some of their counterparts throughout the nation, but they are both supremely talented and have the potential to compete with nearly any team in the nation. Tune into ESPNEWS at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday to see what those voting for national polls have whiffed on.

While at the start of the season, the game between 24th-ranked Auburn and seventh Texas A&M would have undoubtedly been a blowout, it now is shaping up to be nail biter. The game will be a matchup of two very contrasting styles, as Auburn relies on their running game to win games while Texas A&M loves to have Johnny Manziel air ball out. How this game plays out will be a deciding factor in the SEC West and makes tuning into CBS at 3:30 p.m. this Saturday a must for any sports fan.

This game will boil down to which teams strongest unit shows up, as 22nd-ranked Florida relies on one of the best defenses in the country while Missouri utilizes a high power offense to win games. Both teams will consider this game a must win, as a loss will cripple either teams' chances of winning the SEC East Division. Tune into ESPN on Saturday at 12:20 p.m. to see how this one plays out.
