Jameis Winston Vaults Atop Heisman Charts As Florida State Dominates Clemson

The Florida State Seminoles looked absolutely dominant tonight in destroying the Clemson Tigers in what was a totally one-sided affair. Freshman Quarterback Jameis Winston is on another planet right now. He eclipsed 400 yards passing, also tossing three touchdowns and running for one in one of the great performances by a freshman quarterback.

Winston has vaulted atop the conversation for the Heisman Trophy. He and the Seminoles made the third-ranked Tigers look silly, in a hostile environment, no less. Winston is simply the most special freshman quarterback that has graced the game of college football in a very long time.

It is crazy to think about, but it is looking like this will be the second-straight season in which a redshirt freshman has won a Heisman Trophy after having never been done in the history of college football. Of course, as everyone knows, Johnny “Football” Manziel accomplished that feat after a breakout freshman campaign last season.

Winston has been even better. He has come on and beaten everyone in his path with relative ease. He is also a more impressive prospect then Manziel. He has the size and strength to make every throw in the book and can also beat teams with his legs.

He made the third-ranked Tigers look like complete chopped liver. This kid is a special athlete. The Noles will go as far as the Tigers take them. My money is on them surpassing the Oregon Ducks and meeting Alabama in the National Title game. With a freshman leading the way. An astounding tale as the legend of Winston continues to grow.
