Notre Dame just beat up on a lesser Air Force team, launching it back into the rankings. It will be interesting to see if they can stay in the top-25 this time.

Michigan State beat up on Illinois as the Spartans hit the road. It was a 42-3 bashing that finally convinced voters to put this 7-1 team in the rankings.

Central Florida continues to impress as they defeated Connecticut by a wide margin. If this team keeps it up, it can dethrone the Louisville Cardinals from their preseason conference title assumption.

The Badgers could be one of the dark-horse contenders to win the Big Ten title and steal it away from Ohio State, but they will need to win out for that to happen. Melvin Gordon remains a Heisman-contender at running back, however.

The Bruins traveled to Oregon just to get knocked out, like all teams do, by the Oregon Ducks. However, a 42-14 loss isn't enough to drop the Bruins from the rankings.

Louisville bounced back big time to win their week nine matchup by three touchdowns. Teddy Bridgewater will need to keep playing to the best of his abilities if this team wants to be back in a BCS bout.

The Cowboys are creeping closer and closer to the top-10 after a blowout victory on the road of Iowa State. This team still has a great chance of winning the Big 12.

Suffering their first loss of the season, the Red Raiders still look like one of the best teams in the Big 12. Winning on the road at Oklahoma isn't the easiest of tasks. Kliff Kingsbury has this team on the right track.

South Carolina came back to win a thriller on the road in the game of the week against the Missouri Tigers. Winning on the road is nice, but when you come back and win in overtime against the No. 5 team in the nation, you're bound to open some eyes.

Miami has a huge game this week against the Florida State Seminoles. As a rivalry game, the Hurricanes will need to prepare to the best of their abilities as the performance they had against Wake Forest at home will not win them many games.

Stanford shook off an upset bid by the Oregon State Beavers on the road and won a close game. However, Kevin Hogan and the offense looked lost throughout the game. The defense played well, but the offense needs to wake up.

Baylor keeps proving that it is a legitimate top-10 team and for the second-straight week it finds itself in the top-five. Bryce Petty and Lache Seastrunk combine for a scary duo for the Bears as they keep on winning.

I don't think anyone saw the blowout coming that the Buckeyes had against Penn State. Winning 63-14 against a solid Big Ten foe is a good way to prove that you are the best team in the conference -- by far.

Florida State, to no ones surprise, blew out yet another opponent. If the two teams ahead of them in the rankings keep winning, it could be a tough pill to swallow by missing out on the BCS title game.

Oregon, like the rest of the top four teams this week, took down its opponent in impressive fashion. The Ducks beat UCLA by four touchdowns and have made a great case for the top spot in the nation.
