Rant Sports College Football Top 15: Week 11
Week 10 of the college football season was not the most exciting one. There were few upsets during the weekend's games and very few teams moved in the rankings. In the two biggest game of the week, the favored teams came out on top and in impressive fashion. This week took time away from the high amounts of upsets that occurred in the weeks prior.
The Florida State Seminoles hosted the Miami Hurricanes in an in-state rivalry that ended with a lopsided victory in favor the of third-ranked Seminoles. Florida State and freshman phenom Jameis Winston took down the Hurricanes in impressive fashion. Coming into the game as heavy favorites, the Seminoles took care of business and covered the three-touchdown spread that was in their favor prior to the game. The Seminoles are beginning to look like one of the top-three teams in the country and maybe a possible national title contender as well.
In the other big rivalry game of the week, it was a heated matchup between the Michigan State Spartans and the Michigan Wolverines. Michigan traveled down the road to East Lansing to take on the Spartans in one of the most evenly-matched games of the series in the past few years. The game ended in a lopsided victory for the Spartans and it proved that Michigan State is almost becoming an elite team, improving its record to 8-1 and just a few wins away from guaranteeing an appearance in a Big Ten title game.
Week 11 of the college football season is upcoming and it will be a week that draws conference contenders one step closer to the ultimate prize. The final weeks of the season are underway and it will soon be evident who is ready to become a champion and who is just a pretender.
