This is a Friday night game that many across the country will be able to watch. The good news is that both teams are ranked in the top 10 in the country in rushing. The bad news is that neither team is able to pass. The Falcons are ranked No. 122 in passing yardage while the Lobos are No. 120. The Falcons are getting three points on the road and should ride the momentum of their 42-28 win over Army last week to an upset win.
Even though the game is at Miami, the Hurricanes do not enjoy a strong home-field advantage since many of the seats are unoccupied. Plus, the Hurricanes have not overwhelmed lesser foes, needing a late touchdown to beat Wake Forest, 24-21, two weeks ago. The Hokies are better than Wake Forest and should cover the seven points.
The 6-3 Green Wave have proven to be ready for their transition from C-USA to the AAC next year, and head coach Curtis Johnson has been quietly doing one of the best jobs in the FBS this season, having his team bowl eligible. Tulane has won four of its last five and should be able to cover the 7.5-point spread against UTSA.
The Cougars have proven to be a solid pick all season and they score way too many points to be getting 10.5 points, even at UCF. This is a battle of league unbeaten teams in the AAC and should go right down to the wire with the Cougars pulling it out in the end.
